Arsenal hero Robert Pires offers Villarreal verdict and admits he's still a Gunners 'fan'

Robert Pires talks about the upcoming Europa League Final for Europa League sponsor Enterprise Rent-a-Car.

The french legend has given his thoughts on Arsenal’s Europa League semi-final second leg against Villarreal as two of his former sides go head-to-head at the Emirates.

Robert Pires has admitted his undying love for Arsenal as Mikel Arteta and his team prepare to take on another of his former clubs in Villarreal on Thursday.

The former France midfielder and Invincible in 2003/04 has given his thoughts on the second leg meeting after Nicolas Pepe grabbed an away goal following strikes from Manu Trigueros and Raul Albiol.

Pires, who begun his career with Metz, joined Arsenal from Marseille in 2000 - staying in north London for six seasons, scoring 87 goals, winning two league titles and two FA Cups.

He then joined Villarreal in 2006 and scored 18 goals across 131 outings, finishing as runners up in the league behind Real Madrid in 2007/08.
