Portugal Legends meet Spain Legends to celebrate the 100th Anniversary of Portugal first ever match

The Portuguese Football Federation (FPF), in close collaboration with the Royal Spanish Football Federation (RFEF), will organize an unmissable Portugal-Spain to mark the 100th anniversary of the first meeting of the Portuguese National Team, precisely in front of the counterpart, in Madrid, on December 18, 1921.

Just as almost a century ago, the interest will be huge, not least because this match will represent a unique opportunity to see again the talent of some of the best players ever who represented both teams. The show will be guaranteed by real timeless stars like Luís Figo, Rui Costa, Deco, Maniche or Vítor Baía on the Portuguese side, while David Villa, Mendieta, Morientes, Luís Garcia or Marchena will certainly star in exciting moments with the “Roja” shirt. The constitution of the squads will be updated regularly through the official communication channels of the FPF and RFEF. The “Jogo do Centenário” is scheduled for December 17, at the João Rocha Pavilion, in Lisbon, at 7:15 pm, and will be broadcasted live on Channel 11.
