Soccerex, an event that brings together former players, managers and other members to debate the football industry, is to make its debut in Portugal and the marketing director, David Wright, justified the country's choice as a market leader.
In an interview with Lusa, Wright particularly values one aspect of Portuguese football: the ability to detect and perfect young players, which, in his opinion, is crucial to making Portugal one of the references in the area of transfers, launching every year countless talents for the most powerful clubs in the world.
Between Thursday and Friday, Oeiras will host well-known names in the sport, such as the president of the Portuguese Football Federation (FPF), Fernando Gomes, the president of the Spanish League, Javier Tebas, the former French football selector Gerard Houllier, and the former footballers Christian Karembeu and Deco, among others, spread across different conferences and themes ranging from the form of leadership in European football to new areas, such as e-sports.
